Zion's Camp is inspired by the historic Zion's Camp when in the spring of 1834 Joseph Smith the Prophet led 205 men, ten women, and seven children on a 1000 mile march to assist the Saints in Missouri who had been driven from Jackson County, MO by mobs. Zions Camp provided the future leaders of the Church the opportunity to be with the Prophet for an extended period of time and see the workings of the Spirit and the power of God with the Prophet.
Many LDS Stakes sponsor a version of Zion's Camp.
This site has information specific to the Zion's Camps hosted by the Los Altos, Menlo Park, Saratoga, Santa Cruz, Fremont, and San Francisco West Stakes.
